Zach NicholsonSenior PastorAfter finding his way to the greater Houston area from Louisiana, Zach earned both an undergraduate and graduate degree in Theology from Houston Baptist University. During his studies God extended grace upon grace to Zach by allowing him to marry the love of his life, Crystal. They have three children. Caleb is their only son and he has two younger sisters: Hannah and Sophia. Zach and Crystal believe their greatest ministry is to disciple these three children into surrendered followers of Jesus Christ. In addition to serving as Pastor in several Texas churches, Zach has served as an Adjunct Professor at Houston Baptist University in the School of Theology. In his free time he enjoys reading, cooking and family time. He also enjoys watching a wide variety of sports, but has given up all hopes of becoming a professional athlete.

Share a verse of Scripture that has impacted your life. Ephesians 4:11-13 Talks about how Christ has given every Christian spiritual gifts for the purpose of serving God and spreading His message of love for all man. God’s desire is to build up His church, the body of Christ and He has chosen to use us, as His children, to help Him in this greatest of all tasks. Taking Christ to the World and bringing the World to Christ. I am humbled that the God of this universe would choose to use me as a part of His mighty plan to share His love with everyone.
What do you love about being on staff here at First Baptist? Being a part of First Baptist Church is truly a blessing because this church epitomizes the phrases “family of God” and “church family.” Since August of 2000 the members of First Baptist Church Rosenberg have been my families family. The love and care of this church is a true testament to God’s love flowing through God’s people. The love is not just within the walls of First Baptist, but it extends beyond the walls of this church, literally throughout all the world. It is my joy and pleasure to serve with the people of God here at First Baptist Church Rosenberg.

Romans 2:10 “For we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” This verse shows God personal connection with my life and his creation, and that we have purpose in this life beyond anything we could know. It’s me and others being a part of God’s plan for His world.

Share a verse of Scripture that has impacted your life. My favorite Scripture is Psalm 23. It offers comfort, peace and hope. I can testify that God has walked with me through the “valley of the shadow of death” and I have felt His presence sustaining me.
