We are located in Rosenberg, Texas, a few miles southwest of Houston. Travel southwest on US-59, exit TX 36. Drive North on Highway 36 to 1st Street. The church is located on the southeast corner across from Hartz Chicken.
We have parking near the Worship Center in the 1st Street parking lot. We also have a covered carport next to the side entrance for loading and unloading during inclement weather.
There is handicap access for wheelchairs via the front Worship Center entrance, at the covered carport and the side Education Building entrance.
Bro. John, his wife, Cindy, and daughter, Katie, moved to Texas in 2015 from Slidell, Louisiana. He received his Bachelors from the University of Southern Mississippi and his Masters and Doctorate degrees from New Orleans Seminary. Prior to moving to Texas, Bro. John served churches in Mississippi and Louisiana since 1986.
Wayne came to FBC Rosenberg in August of 2000 after serving churches in Texas and Georgia since 1984. As our Community Outreach and Education Minister, Wayne oversees all of our education ministriesÂ including Sunday School, Discipleship, Preschool and Children and the Community Outreach Ministries for FBC Rosenberg. Wayne graduated from Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene with a BA in Religious Education in 1982. He continued his education at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, graduating in 1985 with a Master of Arts in Religious Education with an emphasis in Counseling. Wayne and his wife, Cathy, have two adult daughters, Bethany and Rebecca.
For over 30 years, Brian has served in full-time, part-time, and interim positions at numerous churches in Texas, Kentucky, Minnesota, and Missouri. In addition to serving at First Baptist Rosenberg, he teaches orchestra at Bush High School in Fort Bend ISD. He has taught and held administrative posts at Houston Baptist University, Murray State University in Kentucky, and Bemidji State University in Minnesota.
Brian earned his Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Orchestral Conducting from the University of Missouri-Kansas City, Master of Music in church music and choral conducting from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and a Bachelor of Music Education degree from Houston Baptist University.
In addition to his work with the church and teaching, he is an active professional musician in Houston. He is music director and conductor for the Houston Civic Symphony and the Gilbert and Sullivan Society of Houston.
Brian and his wife, Beth, have three adult children and three grandchildren.
Born and raised in Fort Worth, Texas, Philip moved to Houston in 2014 to study at Houston Baptist University. While there, he obtained a Bachelor's of Arts in Christianity and is now pursuing a Master's of Arts in Biblical Languages. Philip has led worship for 8 years in churches and ministries in Fort Worth, Trinity, and Houston, TX. He most recently served at Sugar Creek Baptist Church as a worship leader and interim tech manager. His hobbies include writing music, studying language and exploring local cities and parks.
Wendy was born and raised here in Rosenberg. Wendy and her husband, Scott have 4 young children Kaiden, Konnor, Kaylee, and Kinsly. Wendy graduated from Wharton County Jr. College in 2002 with her Associates Degree, then graduated from the University of Houston Clear Lake in 2004 with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. Prior to becoming the Mother's Day Out Director, she was a lead teacher for 2 years for the "Terrific Twos". In 2016, Wendy became the Mother's Day Out Assistant Director where she worked for one year before becoming the Director in August 2017.
Marian graduated with a BSA in Managerial Economics and Finance from the University of Michigan. After college, she moved to Richmond and worked for over 25 years in corporate accounting for a large company. Marian was an Assistant Controller and supervised billing, payroll, and accounts payable departments. We stole her away and she began working for First Baptist Rosenberg in February 2010.
Marian has two daughters-Rachel, who is attending college, and Laura, who is married to Ben.
Mindi moved to Texas from Ohio when she was in the 6th grade and has been living in this area ever since. She has been married to her husband, Art Maya, since 1991 and they have two daughters, Meagan and Leigh Ann. They have been members at First Baptist Rosenberg for many years, and God willing, will be here many more years to come.
